Shawn’s Thoughts on the Runningbacks of the 2025 draft class
My thoughts on 2025 Bears RB draft class.
While Ashton Jeanty could be an exciting pick for the Chicago Bears, especially with his dynamic playmaking ability, the offensive line remains a crucial area of need.
The Bears need to prioritize improving their protection for quarterback Caleb Williams, and building a strong offensive line is essential for both the run and pass game.
Jeanty's talent could certainly add a spark to the offense, but addressing the O-line through the draft is still in my opinion a more pressing need to ensure long-term success and stability. Especially at 10 or in a trade back scenario

R-E-l-A-X
The Bears make their first round selection tonight in the 2025 NFL Draft, barring they don’t trade out of the round entirely. In recent years—and by “recent” I mean every year prior to this one—worry and anxiety are likely the most relatable feelings amongst us Bears fans. Even last season, with two top ten selections, I think we all had the same familiar sense of “how will we screw this up this year?”

Krafd’s official draft predictions
Today is the day! The NFL draft is here and the rumor mill is heating up. Bears fans are excited to see how the Bears will approach their first NFL draft under new head coach Ben Johnson. Will the Bears trade up to secure the player they want, giving up one of their valuable 2nd round picks in the process? Will they stay put at 10 and draft the best player available? Will they trade back and add more draft picks in a very deep draft? No one seems to have any idea, and it seems that’s the way Ryan Poles wants it. I’ll give my best shot at predicting what the Bears will do over the next few days in what will be a crucial draft for the future of the Chicago Bears.

BULLS DOZED IN THE PLAY IN, AND AT THEIR OPPORTUNITY FOR A REBUILD
Congratulations Bulls! If your goal was to put an inferior product on the court, make that inferior product as inaccessible as possible to your fans, trade away your best assets for pennies on the dollar, go into this draft with the lowest draft pick possible, and alienate lifelong fans… then you just completed another successful season.

Matt Shaw Moves Down
The Cubs have sent 3b Matt Shaw back down to Iowa. Shaw's season hasn't started as the Cubs or the fan base had hoped. Hitting .172. This is probably the right move by the Cubs. Shaw has the tools, but the adjustment curve to MLB pitching is steep, especially when your contact quality is in the bottom 2 percent. That 1.80 SO/BB ratio is encouraging, which shows he’s not completely overmatched, just not squaring the ball up yet. Could be timing, approach, or just a confidence thing.
